Happy to announce that the LION
– copy n.4 of the TRUDE RABBIT deluxe serie –
has received his first reservation.
So we want to take the occasion to remember that each copy is unique and not reproducible
because the fragment on the front cover is an original one
Remembering how it works:
each book from a limited serie of 30 is a
continuous 6 meters book
hand bound by the artist herself
having on the front cover a different fragment from the original roll of drawings which generated the book itself.
We’ll present some books every week, as the work goes on… enjoy!
This week, in order of appearance:
n.5: toad made of stone
n.6: pattern birds
n.7: toothed duck
TANGRAM – CUT THE MUSTARD (indian ink on paper, resin, fiberglass, magnets and iron – 180 x 180 cm)
TANGRAM is a cut-up work originated from an 8 meters long roll of drawings . Slices and fragments were cutted, isolated from the original ensamble and recomposed in a new configuration on a polycarbonate support, reproducing a 110 cm x 110 cm tangram.
The whole is then applied on a metal surface by magnets, making possible to move freely each piece and recompose at the same time the external and the internal configuration of the entire work.
In this way the observer become active defining the artwork, not just by acting on it, but reproducing the same deconstructive-reconstructive process the artist first used to conceive and generate her work.
TANGRAM – CUT THE MUSTARD, with his ‘dark twin’ CUT OFF, is part of a multiple project, which includes a roll of drawings, and a book [TRUDE RABBIT].
